Our commitment
Calibrate was built to support the development of coaching professionals — not to replace human judgement, not to certify, not to judge. These are the principles that guide every decision about how this tool works, what it asks of its users, and what it refuses to do.
01
Calibrate was designed to support the professional development of coaches — not to replace human judgement. The reports it generates are resources for reflection, not verdicts. No evaluation produced by this system has any certificatory or official value for the purposes of ICF or any other accrediting body. A developmental report is a mirror, not a sentence.
02
Every coaching session contains fragments of real life. The coachee — who is not present in this process — deserves protection. This is why Calibrate requires the complete anonymisation of any transcript before upload, and explicit written consent from both coach and client before any audio recording is used. This is not a formality: it is an act of respect toward someone who placed their trust in the coach.
03
Content uploaded to Calibrate is not stored by this tool. There are no session databases, no transcript collection, no use of your data to train models. Text is processed in real time via API and leaves no trace on our systems. Users have the right to know exactly what happens to the content they upload — and now they do. If this changes, we will communicate it clearly before it takes effect.
04
An artificial intelligence system cannot perceive silence. It does not sense the quality of presence. It does not hear what was left unsaid. It can recognise linguistic and behavioural patterns in a transcript — and it does so with rigour. But coaching is more than what appears in a text. Using this tool with awareness means knowing what it can offer and where it ends. We do not pretend otherwise.
05
Calibrate is not owned by any certifying body and has no institutional affiliations. It was built by a coaching professional for coaching professionals — regardless of accreditation path chosen, school of origin, or approach practised. The goal is to widen access to reflective practice, not to create new hierarchies or reinforce existing ones.
How we stay honest
Calibrate's evaluations are periodically reviewed by a panel of MCC-level assessors. They independently rate the same anonymised sessions the tool has evaluated — without seeing Calibrate's output first. Where systematic divergences emerge between human and AI ratings, the evaluation model is refined. Every update is documented and versioned. This process is how we ensure the tool stays calibrated over time.
Resource for coaches
For your own contract
The coach commits to maintaining absolute confidentiality over all session content. In the context of continuous professional development — including supervision, mentor coaching, and self-assessment — the coach may refer to session content in fully anonymised form, free of any identifying data. In such contexts, the coach may make use of digital tools, including AI-based systems, exclusively for formative and professional improvement purposes. No identifying data relating to the client will be transmitted to or shared with such tools. The coach assumes full responsibility for anonymisation and compliance with ICF ethical standards, in particular Competency 1 — Demonstrates Ethical Practice.
Model clause to offer your clients
To ensure the quality of my professional practice, I periodically make use of self-assessment and supervision tools. Should I find it useful to analyse a session using digital support tools, I will do so exclusively on fully anonymised transcripts or recordings, from which all references to the client, the context, and any element that could lead back to their identity have been removed. Before using an audio recording, I will obtain your explicit written consent.
Both clauses are intended to be integrated into an existing coaching contract. It is recommended that they be reviewed by a legal professional before contractual use.
